Tina Heiman has worked with students to plan for their futures for more than 30 years.  After receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics, her professional life began in the classroom as a high school math teacher.  She then spent 16 years with Kaplan Educational Centers, directing its operations in the Delaware area. Tina worked with high school students to prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, and with college students to prepare for the tests necessary for admission to graduate programs.

In 1997, Tina became a Director of Admissions in the college setting, gaining experience on the other side of the college admissions process.  Tina’s goal is to match students with appropriate colleges, assist them through all aspects of the admissions process, and celebrate with them when the e-mail notifications and fat college envelopes are received.  Tina brings years of knowledge, experience and expertise to help make a decision that is well informed and wise—a decision that will best enable a student to grow to full potential.  Tina has worked with students who have been admitted to many different types of colleges including large universities, Ivy League schools, and small liberal arts colleges with various levels of competitive admissions.

Tina is a Certified Educational Planner.  In 2006 she was the first professional in the state of Delaware to receive this certification.  The Certified Educational Planner (CEP) designation is a mark of distinction demonstrating expanded knowledge and commitment to the profession. It gives families the assurance they need that they are working with a qualified professional who is committed to maintaining the highest quality of service to students.  To achieve the CEP designation, an individual must represent the highest level of professional standards and demonstrate extensive knowledge, expertise and experience in the field of educational planning.
